A & K Energy Conservation Inc. is looking for a loyal, reliable and trustworthy employee to fill a Field Supervisor opening in the Columbus, OH area. A Field Supervisor's duties include but are not limited to: - Coordinating monthly service calls and assisting Technicians to prioritize those calls. - Performing audits for re-lamps and retrofit projects as well as new accounts - Perform quality audits of stores to ensure that Technicians are performing in a manner that is consistent with company policies - Provide new techs with training as necessary to develop their skills - Serve as backup for the field technicians as needed - Answer troubleshooting questions for the field staff - Keep techs informed and current on company policy and procedure changes - Interview with the hiring process of new technicians - Coordinate technician's time off - Make certain that technicians are following all safety guidelines and procedures - Communicate account information to management during weekly conference calls and as needed - Extensive travel is required - Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 2 years of experience in lighting or electrical field is required. 2 years of supervisory experience a must.
Supervision/Technical Responsibilities: Must be able to supervise crews from 1 to 20 workers. Must be able to answer related technical questions on a daily basis. Must be available and on call as needed to support Field Staff.
Skills, Knowledge, Equipment & Other: - Basic ability to understand documents, identify and accurately troubleshoot problems. - Requires the knowledge and skill in the safe use of ladders up to 14', scissor lifts to 20', and hand and power tools required in the related trade. - Required to work overtime on both a scheduled and emergency basis. - Subject to after-hours recall. - Subject to Customer specific needs, employee may be required to remove snow. - English language skills are required.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 90 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Mental Functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, coordinate, instruct, evaluate, troubleshoot, use interpersonal skills and negotiate. - The employee must possess good organizational skills. - Must be able to accurately complete and submit reports as required by the job. - Employee must be punctual and self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
A "clean" driver's license in the state of employment is required at the time of hire and must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. We will want a copy of your motor vehicle report, which must meet company standards. You must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
